Wheels & Waves at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum
September 1 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
A popular cars and coffee event established in Malibu in the 2010s, then went off track during COVID pandemic, is being relaunched at the Channel Islands Harbor.
The Channel Islands Maritime Museum will host the new monthly event, “Wheels & Waves,” which will take place on the first Sunday of each month from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. in front of the Museum.
The first event, free to the public, will take place on Sunday, September 1st and will feature cars of all types from muscle cars to hot rods on display with their owners standing by to answer questions. Each month will feature something special such as guest speakers, demonstrations, pet adoptions and good, clean family fun. Pets are welcome. The Museum will be open during the show.
According to Fireball Tim’s Instagram page, the founder of the event, Wheels and Waves began in Malibu in 2010 and was “knocked out” by COVID. The event began with 20 cars and grew to be one of Southern California’s greatest cars & coffees with more than 250 cars.
“With cars, coffee, dogs, donuts & diecast, this will swiftly become the go-to destination each month for lovers of custom & classic cars,” Fireball Tim said. “And yes, everyone gets a Hot Wheels (while supplies last) each month and more.”
