Channel Islands Harbor to Host Fireworks by the Sea in 2023!

Ventura County’s only July 4th seaside fireworks show is back.

Ventura County Harbor Department Director Michael Tripp announced today the July 4th Fireworks by the Sea will be brought back to the Channel Islands Harbor after being cancelled in 2020, 2021, and 2022 due to the impacts of COVID-19 and budget concerns.

“In speaking with the community and local businesses, I appreciate what the only seaside fireworks show in Ventura County means to everyone,” Director Tripp said. “Not having the fireworks show the past few years has impacted our local businesses and deprived our residents and visitors of a cherished tradition. I’m confident this year’s fireworks celebration will be a huge success.

In addition to the fireworks show, there will be a full day of activities at the Harbor that include a family parade, electric boat parade, and all-day activities at Harbor View Park.
