Nearby Cleanup Sites for Ventura County Coastal Cleanup Day

Ventura County Coastal Cleanup Day is one of the best days of the year.

Thousands of volunteers step up and help clean up trash and other debris at 20 locations – on the coast and inland – around Ventura County.

This year, Ventura County Coastal Cleanup Day is scheduled from 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Participants interested in volunteering near the Channel Islands Harbor can report to two locations.

  • Silver Strand Beach: volunteers will meet at the north end of the beach near the lifeguard tower. The beach parking lot is located at San Nicholas Ave. and Ocean Drive.
  • Channel Islands Boating Center: the Channel Islands Boating Center staff is excited to offer complimentary clean-up tours on a kayak around the Channel Islands Harbor. The boating center is located at 3880 Bluefin Cir. Oxnard, CA.

Pre-registration is not required. Walk-ins are welcome at all locations listed. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All volunteers must sign a volunteer waiver. Please wear closed toed shoes and sun protection. Volunteers are encouraged to BYOB; bring your own reusable bucket, gloves, and water bottle. Instructions, volunteer waivers, data cards, trash and recycling bags, gloves, and water will otherwise be provided.
