Gypsies in a Trunk, an all-volunteer troupe of actors, performs fairy tales for the young and young at heart.  The troupe’s love of children’s theatre has led them to perform every May through September all over Ventura County.  The shows are free with donations suggested.

On June 2, 2019, Gypsies in a Trunk present “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Here is a summary of the performance:

When Jack trades his beloved cow for magic beans, his mom isn’t very happy. But the beans sprout overnight into an enormous stalk, which leads up into the sky to the doorstep of a castle filled with treasures that belongs to a giant! Maybe a cow for beans wasn’t that much of a bum deal after all!
