There’s only one seaside 4^th of July fireworks show in Ventura County and it’s the Channel Islands Harbor’s Fireworks by the Sea.

The fireworks show begins at 9 p.m., but there’s plenty of planned festivities to enjoy all day.

18^th Annual Channel Islands Harbor 4^th of July 10k Race & 5K Fun Run/Walk

If you want to get some cardio in before indulging in beverages and BBQ, you can kick off your day at the 18^th Annual Channel Islands Harbor 4^th of July 10k Race & 5K Fun Run/Walk. This classic run takes place inside the Harbor and the Oxnard Shores beach community. Race day registration starts at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. Find out more here.

Children’s Parade

After the race, join Harbor residents and visitors for the 4^th of July Children’s Parade. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at Albacore Way, travels north up Harbor Blvd. and ends at Cabezone Circle, home to Marine Emporium Landing. You must have a 4th of July Children’s Parade form filled out and submitted prior to participating. On July 4th, there will be a sign-in table at the corner of Harbor Blvd. and Albacore Way – the start of the parade route. Or you can pre-register and download a form here.

All Day Activities

After the Children’s Parade, the fun at the Harbor really begins. Marine Emporium Landing, a key restaurant and retail hub, will host family-friendly activities from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Events at Marine Emporium Landing include a crafters’ market, an inflatable fun zone for children, a rock climbing wall and a variety of food booths.

Electric Boat Parade

If you are determined to reserve your spot to watch the fireworks show early, you may be surprised to see an Electric Boat Parade floating through the east and west channels of the Harbor. At 4:30 p.m., more than 50 patriotic themed electric boats will cruise around the Harbor in the 4^rd Annual 4^th of July Electric Boat Parade. The parade is sponsored by Central Coast Electric Boats and the Channel Islands Yacht Club.
